Normally you wouldn't be able to get into this part of the city as it is usually heavily guarded, but the keepers have a job for you to do, and have distracted the guards, getting you in to this place, and you might be able to do some extra thievery on the side. Other info : if an object is found in one place in normal, it may not be found in the same place on hard or expert levels. don't waste rope arrows on expert there is just enough to do the level. The bank objective is not available on normal so don't try to find a way in as there is nothing in there on normal level. If the level is too dark, boost the gamma on the monitor. the level was built on a pII 333mhz pc so if your machine is less it might be a bit jerky in some parts, specially parts with fire polygons. Base : None Build Time : About 3 weeks (caused by adding enviromental sounds and testing) ======================================================================================= unzipping information : Check the zip to see if any files are going to be overwritten, and make copies of the originals, somewhere safe, if they are going to be over written. Unzip to Thief directory, with make directories and overwrite settings on. Loading information : After unzipping files to thief directory, run thief.exe then either do the training mission or skip it, this level follows the training level, the next levels will follow this level, when i've built them. * Copyright * As far as I understand from the looking glass web site, levels made with dromed using the dark engine, reguardless of whoever made them, the copyright belongs to Looking Glass Studio's, but are not supported by looking glass if not made by them. So this is being released as freeware, and as freeware, it's free to distribuate. note: for those who get stuck there's a hints walkthrough in the books directory version 1.1 added a few sounds, updated the tasks garrett has to do added visible/invisible objectives, got the information how to do it from the informat level added names for the keys changed some in level information eg scrolls and books blocked off the entrance to the keymasters house on normal level to stop ppl hacking door down then wondering why the building has no treasure or guards in it removed the fire arrows from a chest in the barracks on normal level added something else, as fire arrows are for re-lighting torches in bank on hard and expert levels additional build time 14 hours
