(Between the training mission and Bafford's.) Garrett has found out about a gem owned by a town merchant and has decided it will make a good target for his first night out after leaving the Keepers. This is not a typical Thief mission. There is not a lot to steal, not a lot of guards to evade, just a story to follow, some complex conversations, a puzzle or two, and a few surprises. This mission is in fact a setup for a sequel, which will happen the next morning.
