There's a lot to do in this mission. I played on expert, which was a daunting task. You have to find plenty of objects and keys and use some of them in unexpected ways. All of this is well motivated and clued; I never became stuck because of a failure to understand what I was supposed to do. I did have trouble finding a couple of things that were well hidden, however. Just look at everything closely.
There's plenty of unavoidable combat. There are also several points where you can avoid combat if you think about the situation. Guards are well-placed, and in many cases will be facing you in a well lit hallway, backs to a door that you need to get into. Sometimes there's another way around, other times you just have to sneak or perform a little creative distraction.
Architecture is nice but not stunning. (A boring hedge maze is an example; why do folks make these?) Everything is perfectly adequate, though. Near the endgame you have to do a pile of fighting, and there is a final "boss enemy" that you must defeat. I'm not a big fan of this, and it's really what keeps this mission from getting into the 9+ rating stratosphere.
