=================================================== Geller's Pride 1.0 18.5.2001 =================================================== The story takes place between the events in Thief 1 and 2. Story: It seems that certain Lord Geller has an intriguing amount of gold in his possesion, just ripe for taking. He's not natively from The City, but my contacts lack the information about his original homeland. For a foreigner, he's in a surprisingly wealthy position, and he's a careful one, too. He has stored most of his wealth into the First City Bank And Trust. So, instead of the usual burglary, I'm thinking of blackmailing. My contacts tell me that Geller isn't really as pure as the driving snow, but they don't know the details. My plan is quite simple: break into his mansion, search for anything useful for blackmailing and take some of his wealth in the process. Not just anything will do for the blackmailing purposes. Quite a few persons which I've robbed haven't really had terribly good relations with their wives, for example, and I doubt Geller is an exception. I need to dig up something really dirty, something so secret it'll scare him to death. Getting to the mansion should be easy. As I'm not very well known in this section of the city, the bluecoats should generally leave me alone. The mansion itself is another story. If my contacts' information is right, it should've been under a break-in recently. Apparently, nothing major got stolen, but the guards are a bit tense about anyone who's looking a little suspicious. It seems that they have gone as far as threatening some innocent people crossing the street, but I'm sure I can easily slip past them. And it's not that anyone is forcing me to use the front entrance. Besides, this whole job is clearly worth the risk. If everything goes as planned, I could easily become a rich man... =================================================================================== Author : Jani Saarijärvi, aka "Spitter" Contact Info : jsaarijarvi@hotmail.com Homepage : www.geocities.com/jsaarijarvi/ Date of Release : 18th of May, 2001 * Playing Information * Game : Thief: The Dark Project / Gold Mission Title : Geller's Pride File Name : miss20.mis Difficulty Settings : Yes Equipment Store : Yes Map/Automap : Yes/No New Graphics : Yes (One banner from Thief 2, the rest is from Thief Gold) New Sounds : Yes Multi-Language Support : No Briefing : No Difficulty Level Info : Normal, Hard, Expert * Construction * Base : Completely new. I tried to make an interesting place to rob, so there are many places to enter and exit from. Also something to note of, this level is Lytha-friendly, meaning that you can get all the loot without harming anyone (ie. no blackjacking, gassing, etc.). * Thanks to * A very big "Thank you!" goes to my voice actors: Lars Dieckow (Daxim) as Lord Geller (daxim@gmx.de) Wynne Lurty (Wynne) as female servant (dusty@nni.com) Tonamel Rhysthal (Tonamel) as Obert (tonamel@mechpilot.com) I'd also like to thank my betatesters: Daxim, Tonamel, Viper6, Xarax and YcatX. Thanks! Seeker shouldn't be forgotten either, as he did the maps for me and was a general advisor and a tireless betatester throughout the mission's production. I'd like to thank every single person at TEG Forum, too, especially those individuals who have contributed tutorials/demo missions/etc. to the community. Thanks, everyone.
